Ingredients
- 1 pack Frozen French Fries
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 small Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 can Chili Beans
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 2 cups Shredded Cheese
- To Taste Salt & Pepper
- To garnish Sliced Green Onions
Instructions
1. Prepare the Fries:Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake them according to the package instructions until they're crispy and golden.
2. Cook the Chili:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Break it up into crumbles as it cooks. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté them with the beef until they're softened and aromatic.
3. Add Beans and Tomatoes:
Stir in the chili beans (with their sauce) and diced tomatoes. Season the mixture with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Allow it to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens.
4. Assemble the Chili Cheese Fries:
Once the fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the oven. Pile the hot, crispy fries onto a serving platter.
