Easy Fluffy Japanese Pancake Recipe
Konichiwa! To all the recipe lovers. Welcome back to Chef Mikoto's Kitchen. Today we are trying the scrumptious fluffy pancake recipe from Japan. So grab your Toques and let's head to the workstation.
Ingredients
Egg 2Milk 4 Tbsp
Sugar 6 Tbsp
Honey 1/2 tsp
All-purpose flour 3.5 Tbsp
Instructions
- Take two separate bowls and add egg yolks in one bowl and egg whites in another bowl.
- Add milk to the egg yolks and mix.
- Now add all-purpose flour to the milk & egg yolk mixture, and mix till the consistency changes. Add honey and mix.
- Now take a hand mixer and start beating your egg whites. Stop and add 2 tbsp sugar and then mix. Stop again add another 2 tbsp of sugar and mix. Stop again add another 2 tbsp of sugar and mix. Whip the egg whites to dry peaks.
- Now add half of the whipped egg whites into the egg yolk mixture and mix by folding technique.
- Once mixed add the remaining egg white mixture and mix using the same folding technique.
- Now put the mixture into a zip lock bag and cut a small hole at the bottom.
- Head over to the stove. Take a pan and brush some cooking oil onto it.
- Put the pan on low heat and bring your zip lock bag here. Now form medium-sized swirls vertically into the pan.
- Cover the pan and let them cook on low heat. Check if golden brown flip and cover the pan. Check again if golden brown then it's cooked.
- Put it on a plate with butter, syrup, honey, and fruits. Any topping of your choice.
