Easy Caramelized Eggless Pudding


Konichiwa! To all my lovely readers and brilliant chefs. Chef Miko is back with a pudding recipe that is absolutely delicious.

So, grab your aprons and let's head to the kitchen.



Ingredients


Sugar                     3/4 cup
Water                     1/4 cup
Custard Powder           2 Tbsp
Milk                          2  cup
Semolina Flour            1/4 cup
Coconut powder(opt.)


Instructions

  1. Caramelize sugar in a pan.
  2. Take a 6-inch moulding tray and immediately pour the caramelized sugar into it and spread it evenly. Put it aside for cooling at room temperature.
  3. In a separate bowl put in custard powder and water. Mix till smooth. Put it aside.
  4. In a saucepan put in milk and 1/2 cup of sugar. Bring it to a boil while stirring continuously. Now add  semolina, and whisk till smooth.
  5. Once a smooth mixture is achieved add in the custard mixture we made before.
  6. Now cook while continuously whisking till a thick consistency is achieved.
  7. Take the saucepan off the stove and add its contents to the moulding tray. Give it a few taps and cover it with tin foil.
  8. Steam it for 30 mins by placing it on a stand in a pan of water, covered by the lid.
  9. After steaming let it cool at room temperature before refrigerating for 4 hours.
  10. Take it out of the refrigerator remove the foil and flip it over. Top it with coconut powder.
